5- Make your selections for your virtual hard drive’s size and location. It’s important to choose a location within the partition that has enough room for your VM. 6- Choose the location of your newly made Windows XP ISO image. On the right side of the window, click the Start button. It will start the virtual machine. You will see a prompt to upload an image to an optical drive in a small window. If you do not get the notification, go to the Device menu, click the Disk Image, and then select your Windows XP ISO image. To use the Windows XP setup, restart the emulator.
7- Start the Windows XP installation the way you normally would. It will ask you to set up an account on your virtual hard drive first. If you make sure the Windows XP image is correctly created and free of defects, everything should work without a glitch.
